I would evaluate identity lifecycle processes, privileged-access controls, MFA coverage, role design, segregation of duties, logging, periodic access reviews, and exception handling. I would combine configuration evidence with operating evidence, such as review records and remediation tickets, to confirm the controls are both implemented and functioning. What opportunities do you see for automating compliance in a cloud environment? I look for repeatable control tests that can be encoded through infrastructure-as-code checks, cloud security posture tooling, policy-as-code, and automated evidence collection. Automation should continuously identify drift, create actionable findings, and retain audit-ready evidence while preserving human review for risk decisions and exceptions. How do you communicate a material compliance gap to technical and executive stakeholders? I explain the gap in terms of the control objective, technical condition, risk, regulatory or customer impact, and recommended remediation path. I tailor the level of detail to the audience, assign an accountable owner, agree on milestones, and provide transparent status reporting until the risk is resolved or formally accepted. We are looking for a Staff GRC Analyst who will be the bridge between technical engineering teams and external auditors. The role will work closely with Security, Engineering, Product, IT, and Legal, going beyond checklist compliance by examining technical configurations, validating data flows, and helping build automated safeguards across a multi-cloud environment. This is a key role reporting to our Director of GRC and can be based remotely in the United States. This is a technical role that will independently own their area of responsibility, improve existing approaches, and advise stakeholders as new security requirements are adopted. What you will be doing: * Partner with Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams to translate FedRAMP High, DoD IL4/IL5, CMMC, NIST SP 800-53/800-171, SOC 2, ISO, and other security requirements into actionable technical controls and implementation standards across AWS and Azure. * Assess technical implementations across infrastructure, networking, containers, databases, IAM, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management to validate alignment with control requirements. * Define evidence requirements and work directly with technical teams to validate control implementation, identify gaps, and drive remediation. * Support FedRAMP authorization and ongoing operations, including ConMon, POA&M management, vulnerability reporting, evidence packages, and significant change management. * Support external assessments and audits, including 3PAO engagements and audit readiness. * Monitor evolving federal requirements (including FedRAMP 20x) and keep stakeholders informed. * Identify opportunities to scale compliance through automation and policy-as-code What you bring with you: * 12+ years’ experience in security compliance, technical GRC, cloud security, IT audit, or related technical governance roles. * Hands-on experience translating compliance requirements into technical controls and configuration standards. * Strong knowledge of cloud/SaaS security (IAM, encryption, logging, vulnerability management, secure SDLC). * Experience supporting FedRAMP authorization, ConMon, POA&M management, and external assessments. * PMP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP are a plus Target Annual Compensation: $215,000 – 230,000 Applicants for this opportunity must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. #LI-JF1 At Tines, we’re all about trying new things and taking the leap.
