I would coordinate the appropriate remediation with compliance operations, product, legal, and the local MLRO where needed, while providing the banking partner with transparent status updates. After resolution, I would perform root-cause analysis and track preventive actions to completion. What metrics would you report to leadership for global CDD projects and control effectiveness? I would report project milestones, delivery risks, dependency status, jurisdictional rollout progress, and remediation aging. For control effectiveness, I would include onboarding turnaround time, QA error rates, EDD volumes, escalation trends, periodic-review completion, screening alert outcomes, audit findings, and overdue corrective actions. Metrics should distinguish operational workload from actual risk indicators so leadership can make informed prioritization decisions. How do AML/CFT and sanctions risks differ for a crypto business compared with traditional financial services? Crypto businesses can face rapid, cross-border movement of value, pseudonymous counterparties, exposure to wallets and decentralized services, and elevated typology changes. A strong program combines conventional CDD and beneficial-ownership controls with blockchain analytics, wallet screening, transaction monitoring, source-of-funds reviews, and clear escalation procedures. About the Role: This role is critical to ensure that the company complies with AML requirements and best practices pertaining to Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for retail and corporate onboarding as well as ongoing due diligence. This individual will ensure that the global CDD standards that the company applies are met and will work with local team members such as MLROs to align on localized CDD requirements. They will maintain oversight of the CDD controls and provide guidance to the first line of defense and act as point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. What You’ll Do: * Supporting the Global Head CDD Governance to drive the CDD strategy for retail and corporate customers. * Managing third party relationships with Auditors and Fiat partners. * Ensure the global CDD standards for retail and corporate services are met. * Partnering with Product leadership to strategize global and local CDD enhancements. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with our banking partners. * Act as point of contact and escalation for the compliance related matters with banking partners, auditors and internal stakeholders. * Managing multiple CDD projects across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring key projects are delivered on time. * Reporting to management on the progress of Global and local CDD projects. What We’re Looking For: * 5+ years of CDD experience. * ACAMs, ACFCS or other industry leading certification. * Previous experience with Audits and Managing third party relationships. * Knowledge and experience with global CDD requirements. * Knowledge and experience with implementing customer risk scoring frameworks. * Deep understanding of AML/CFT and sanctions risks. * Knowledge of global licensing requirements related to financial services and crypto related business activities. * Experience in dealing with difficult decisions and ability to work on own initiative. * Excellent communication, analytical, logical thinking, problem solving, and writing skills. * Adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable to work in a fast-paced remote working environment.
