Our senior engineers play a key role in driving technical quality and platform evolution, working on a modern cloud-native stack across both greenfield and existing systems. ### What You Will Do * Design and develop highly concurrent, distributed backend services with a focus on high availability; * Take solid ownership of architectural contributions, driving technical decisions within and across teams; * Lead performance optimisation efforts and proactively diagnose complex system issues; * Design, develop and test new features, setting a high bar for quality and reliability; * Support the release and documentation of developed features; * Define and champion coding standards and development processes; * Mentor and support more junior engineers within the team; * Provide out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota. ### What You Will Bring Essential: * Strong programming skills in Go (Golang); * Proven experience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade systems at scale; * Solid experience with highly concurrent, distributed architectures and systems; * Solid experience contributing to and driving architectural decisions; * Experience with containerised applications and cloud-native environments; * Experience profiling and optimising performance at scale; * Experience building REST/HTTP based services; * Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis); * Strong test suite design skills, including Unit, Integration and Smoke tests, enabling safe promotion of code to production without manual intervention; * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions clearly.
