The Mission We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Data Architect to join our Cloud Data Engineering Practice. The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies. Your Assignment * Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity * Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre-sales teams * Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers * Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures Requirements * At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape * 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas: ○ Traditional Data (At least 2): ■ Relational database design, optimization and migration ■ Data modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data models ■ BI dashboards and visualizations ■ Data Governance and MDM ○ New Data (at least 2): ■ Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL ■ Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker ■ GenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock. ■ DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc) * Experience with at least two of these: ○ Infrastructure as Code tools ○ CI/CD pipelines and tools ○ Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) and automation * Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills ### Benefits Caylent employs full-time, full-benefit CLT in Brazil. * 100% remote work * Generous holidays and flexible PTO * Competitive phantom equity * Paid for exams and certifications * Peer bonus awards * State of the art laptop and tools * Equipment & Office Stipend * Individual professional development plan * Annual stipend for Learning and Development * Work with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate culture This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
