Responsibilities

Collaborate with peers to design, write, document, deploy and maintain software systems
Develop clever technology solutions for users and operational focused projects
Create high-quality web applications by innovating clean, concise code
Review and debug code
Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve software
Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
Operate in Agile / Scrum product development. We host daily stand ups, and work in 2 week sprints with weekly releases
Comfortable with remote-based work

Requirements

3+ years of development experience with Ruby on Rails
B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Experience with RSpec
Experience building rich, dynamic web clients that communicate with complex back-ends
Understanding of mobile and web architecture and modern frameworks
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work as a self-guided team member or project team leader
Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical teams
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
Addictive to “Making Things Easier”
Experience with API programming and REST API standards
Troubleshooting skills
Clean code with best practices
Commit to code principles including SOLID principles
