The Role
The role of this position is to serve as a Windows and virtual infrastructure system administrator. Β Primary functions are to design, deploy, and support infrastructure solutions for the enterprise. Β They will be expected to stay abreast of advances in technologies; assessing, making recommendations, and deploying said technologies. Β They are expected to be a leader in collaboration efforts across organizations (architecture, development, operational teams, business units, etc.) in solving critical business and technology issues while improving customer experience.
The Main Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support/administration of OS (Windows) and associated infrastructure
- Provide day-to-day support/administration of virtual infrastructure
- Will provide support directly to internal stakeholders throughout the enterprise to enable and support highly available application solutions
- Perform site reliability engineering functions:
- Assessing standards, practices, technologies, and ecosystems
- Make recommendations for improvements and in support of going forward strategies
- Facilitate implementation tasks (Examples: Β operational standards, automation, developing/implementing code)
- Develop, document, deploy, and support best practices/procedures, risk assessments, contingency planning, security, and disaster recovery & business continuity planning
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders through the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems across multiple technical disciplines
- Interact and communicate with various levels of management on projects and initiatives
- Provide leadership in the migration of legacy technologies to current standards
- Function in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, environment
- Other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows administration
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with server virtualization (Examples: ESXi, VMware, vSphere, vRealize, Hyper-V)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with container platforms (Examples: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Swarm, etc.), and management systems
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in delivering Information Technology projects to medium/large enterprises
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with storage management (NAS, SAN, etc.) preferred
- Experience with container platforms (Examples: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Swarm, etc.)
- Experience with automation and orchestration technologies (Examples: Morpheus, Big Panda)
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across the full IT technology stack
- Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and team dynamic skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technology topics across a broad range of technical and non-technical backgrounds

- Bachelorβs degree (Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering or related) or equivalent
