About This Role

This is a part-time contract role to manually migrate content from a legacy CMS into WordPress. The timeframe and number of hours are flexible as we are looking for multiple people across time zones to perform this work. You should be comfortable creating content in WordPress with the block editor and detail-oriented, able to make content look good in their page templates. You will work with a project manager and UX Designer to identify and manually migrate content for multiple websites.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate content to new websites, partnering with a UX Designer who will compile a site map and list of pages to migrate. The specific workflow may look like this: copy existing URL from a spreadsheet, open in browser, and copy the content one section at a time
  • Work with UX Designer to understand and assist in developing a clear content mapping strategy for placing content into specific blocks and patterns
  • Ensure page content is accessible, readable, and fits the design aesthetic
  • Set up pages within WordPress as parent pages, child pages, and ensure site map hierarchy is followed

Requirements

  • Experience using WordPress and the new block editor to manage content
  • Understanding of visual design principles, able to translate content and make it look aesthetically pleasing
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, attending meetings during business hours

Nice-to-have

  • Multilingual, we will be migrating websites in various languages
