We’re looking for an internal communications expert to support our growing employee community. Reporting to the communications leader and work with our people team, your role is to develop progressive programs to inspire our employees and attract new and diverse talent. As the internal communications lead, you have a deep appreciation and drive for how a great brand starts from within.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage employee communications to keep our people informed and engaged as we continue to grow
  • Be an important member of the comms team and a liaison to the people team
  • Develop a strategic internal communications plan, aligning messaging with our team’s culture, mission and values
  • Develop and author a variety of internal communications including presentations, announcements, blog posts to be delivered across a variety of communications channels
  • Manage company-wide meetings and events from programming and advising the leadership team to serving as an internal spokesperson
  • Help create Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that inspires internal engagement and external awareness of Discord as an employer of choice
  • Manage all people & recruiting related branding assets including The Muse, BuiltIn, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Comparably to keep content fresh, to help increase brand awareness, and support recruiting and engagement efforts
  • Develop an editorial calendar for our Employer Branding content
  • Evaluate tools and systems to strengthen solutions for staying connected, information-sharing, and having fun together
  • Support broader people team priorities to measure engagement, identify themes, and ensure messaging is resonating across teams
  • Manage the internal announcement calendar, ensuring information is easy to discover and consume
  • Work with all marketing functions to ensure internal PR efforts are well planned and integrated with marketing plans

What you should have

  • 7+ years experience implementing successful employee engagement and corporate communications programs
  • You can influence in a fast-paced, flat organization and partner across multiple departments
  • Experience managing agencies from creation to execution
  • Experience presenting to and consulting with an executive audience
  • Develop narratives and implement them in multiple formats including articles, video, podcasts, presentations, videos, and live events
  • A creative mentality when it comes to solving problems

Bonus Points

  • Agency and in-house experience in a technology or growth environment
  • Understand and success with social and content-based marketing approaches to employer branding
  • Previous people management experience
  • Experience with communication strategies from a global and local perspective
