The Content Marketing & Media Manager role at Hack The Box will drive the efforts to create engaging and lead-generating content while partnering with key stakeholders to shape the organization’s brand identity and thought leadership to our B2C and B2B audiences. Blog building, cybersecurity content, media, and public relations are the main domains that this role will shape.

About Hack The Box

Hack The Box is an online platform that allows its users to test, train and enhance their penetration testing skills as well as to exchange ideas and methodologies with other members of similar interests by playing with real-world security issues and vulnerabilities, that are constantly refreshed. HTB community consists of over 500K cybersecurity enthusiasts who use our platform to build their skills in a fun and gamified way. Apart from the community, our b2b solution is used by over 700 corporations, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and education institutes to train their personnel on cybersecurity


  • Drive the efforts to create a lead generating blog (content writing and internal project management)
  • Create content strategy that is data and outcome-driven (basic SEO knowledge is a great asset)
  • Generate 4 pieces of content per month, while editing input from other sources
  • Partner with HTB Content & Academy teams to create technical content
  • Build in SEO and SEM practices into all content marketing tactics
  • Collaborate with designers to build engaging visuals that aligns with the content marketing story-line
  • Analyze and monitor metrics that drive content marketing optimization and new opportunities identification
  • Create partnerships in the US market to increase thought leadership and awareness
  • Prepare and distribute promotional material and publications (press releases, brochures, guest articles, award listings, whitepapers, etc.)


  • Proven professional working experience in tech related copywriting
  • Ability to showcase a portfolio of work with a focus on cybersecurity (or at least tech/engineering/software)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, US English fluency, strong attention to detail
  • An ability to write creative copy both for short and longer pieces of content
  • Ability to transform complex technical information into concise, easily digestible content for security professionals and leaders
  • Previous experience with company blog creation and management
  • Basic SEO and SEM knowledge
  • Bachelor in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field
  • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Basic familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush
  • Team player and hacker at heart
