The job of Learning and Development Manager is important to Frontiers success. People are our most important asset and you’ll be the one to ensure we are developing our people so that we are focused on our established mission and objectives. Promoting Frontiers values and shaping a positive culture is a vital aspect of the role. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will work closely with the People Experience Teams as well as leading the team of L&D specialists and consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Works in close collaboration with the Chief People Officer, People Experience members and key stakeholders across Frontiers
  • Create a vision and road map for L&D which identifies, develops and maintains appropriate learning for all Frontiers teams
  • Lead various focused training modules, including our Publishing Academy building this into a best-in-class learning experience for all our publishing teams
  • Incorporates e-learning, video, virtual and instructor-led modules, combining in-person curriculum with web-based tools
  • Lead new employee onboarding program across all locations, ensuring everyone gets an exceptional experience wherever they are, setting them up for success
  • Review existing programs to ensure the content remains complete, relevant and update materials on both a periodic and as-needed basis, including updates to presentations due to business changes and e-learning modules
  • Working with subject matter experts across Frontiers, translate technical, product and process documentation into learning materials, enabling successful performance of our teams
  • Ensure that all learning material is kept up to date with product releases and guideline changes
  • Ensure employee data on various L&D systems is accurate and up to date so that effective reporting can inform decisions
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve overall L&D systems, tactics and procedures across the organization using robust metrics
  • Produce weekly & monthly reporting showing Return on Investment and program/campaign success rates
  • In collaboration with the Chief People Officer, define learning budget priorities, track L&D invoices and spending

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience within HR and/or L&D
  • Experience working in a matrix, international organization
  • Understanding of data protection regulations like GDPR
  • Hands-on experience creating digital content in a variety of formats
  • Familiarity with a variety of LMS, digital authoring tools, and technologically agile, quick to learn new ones
  • Strong service orientation with great attention to details
  • Self-starter, proactive attitude with a global mind-set
  • Very organized, stress resistant, able to juggle multiple projects in parallel
  • Flexible, assertive, works fast
  • Able to work in a team and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and enjoys challenges, results and outcome-oriented
