Job Description

Lovepop is on a mission to create one billion magical moments and the best place in the world for hungry, creative problem-solvers. We were first introduced to America on Shark Tank in December 2015 and we have been on a rocket ship ride ever since. We are hiring a Head of Merchandising to join our team to own and champion the growth and development of Lovepop’s product line.

What you’ll do here:

  • Build and lead a robust seasonal hindsighting process for Lovepop that leverages customer, product and competitive insights across multiple data sources
  • Manage the strategic assortment development and line planning (including product lifecycle management) approach based on consumer insights, segmentation, trends, analysis, and thoughtful investment cases
  • Lead consumer-testing that gives Lovepop an edge in product development
  • Partner with design to achieve super fast execution on new ideas and opportunities with limited shelf life
  • Lead and facilitate seasonal assortment planning decision-making framework and process
  • Create high level financial plans by product type, channel and season
  • Manage assortment planning execution across all channels inclusive of maintaining accurate assortment lists by channel, by change date
  • Provide cross-functional visibility into product development decisions, rationale, successes, failures, and learnings
  • Run an effective line planning process that incorporates cross-functional stakeholder input and insights
  • Support timely and complete inputs in the inventory planning process that connects best strategic insights on product demand
  • Evaluate and communicate SKU and channel level sales performance
  • Partner with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotions and marketing programs

You’ll be great if you have:

  • 10+ years in leading and developing assortment strategy and line plans; product planning and decision making
  • 10+ year in partnering with Design teams to develop new products – ideally in high trend, high seasonal consumer facing businesses or product lines

Lovepop is headquartered in Boston, MA but embracing remote work in the US.
