We are looking for a People Operations Manager to create and deliver efficient people processes and workflows that will support a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Leading with competency and warmth, you will support the people team in operational excellence and help us maintain compliance globally.

Day In The Life

  • You will design and manage operational processes for people team workflows globally to support a positive employee experiences across the employee lifecycle
  • You will continuously review/audit processes and data, identify opportunities to streamline processes and procedures, and recommend and implement solutions while understanding downstream impact
  • You will oversee the maintenance of HR policies and procedures. Draft, modify, and implement company policies and procedures as needed
  • You will manage and oversee the administration of all leave programs
  • You will stay current with regional legislation and practices as well as address any challenges or opportunities related to employment legislation and policies
  • You will oversee the administration of immigration and visa requirements
  • You will monitor outcomes and incorporate lessons learned into future task/project activity
  • You will support change management efforts around culture and new programs

Who You Are

  • 3+ years experience in an HR Generalist, People Operations or equivalent role
  • You have experience exercising independent judgement within the framework of company policies and practices
  • You can communicate effectively and apply problem-solving skills to challenging situations
  • You have experience driving projects and project managing collaboratively with members of your team and cross-functionally
  • You have applied knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • You have experience dealing with ambiguity, and performing in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and evolving processes and systems

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Degreed is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). If this role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually, it will be from your home office within any state or country that Degreed is authorized to do business. If this role is based in a Degreed office location, you will have flexibility to work remotely if needed. As a global business, we primarily collaborate through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. You will be required to operate a laptop computer, computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary in this role.  Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
