We are looking for a Compensation Program Manager to join our Total Rewards team and play a large role in our compensation strategy design and execution. You’ll be instrumental in building our key global compensation programs across internal organizations, and help Stripe continue to scale effectively while working closely with global cross-functional stakeholders across the business and people teams.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and administration of our annual compensation cycle including merit, market, bonus and equity for all global employees
  • Participate in research and analysis for new compensation policies and programs
  • Implement a compensation survey management system and support our compensation partners’ use of it for benchmarking and reporting
  • Partner with People Ops to optimally configure and enhance business processes, compensation rule plans, grades and grade profiles, compensation packages, and equity program alignment
  • Partner with People Programs, Talent Acquisition, People Ops, L&D teams to align on business objectives and to collaborate on talent solutions as a cross-functional team
  • Develop compelling and relevant enablement and communications plans to educate managers and employees on all compensation programs
  • Continually evaluate compensation programs to ensure they are legally compliant, competitive, equitable, aligned with the overall compensation philosophy, and driving the appropriate business results
  • Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill insights and convey findings; build tools as required to improve efficiency

Who you are

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in compensation; including experience developing and managing global compensation programs and processes, preferably in a high-growth, scaling, technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data; international compensation experience preferred
  • Proven analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and have truly in-depth knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience communicating effectively across diverse teams, including translating complex ideas and quantitative insights into digestible information for leaders and employees
  • Strong knowledge of Workday functionality and reporting
  • Deep commitment to excellent user experience, empathy, and discretion

Pay & Benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $135,000 – $180,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
