The Facebook Media Buyer will acquire new customers by building and optimizing campaigns on a daily basis. You will be responsible for planning, buying, tracking, and optimizing campaigns to hit aggressive target KPIs.

We’ll start by introducing ourselves. We’re Lurn – The Transformational Home for Entrepreneurs. Our company is pioneering how Entrepreneurs learn and connect with each other (all over the World). Being an Entrepreneur can be a very lonely business – well, not for long.

Does This Sound Like You? 

We need a Facebook Media Buyer to own and manage our Facebook marketing campaigns, execute A/B testing, spreadsheet reporting, and contribute to our growing acquisition strategy.

  • Oversee digital marketing strategies/execution with a focus on new customer acquisition, revenue, and retention.
  • Create a comprehensive targeting strategy through strong organizational skills.
  • Create and act on media buying strategies that create product awareness as well as drive qualified leads. Experience in programmatic advertising a requirement
  • Develop monthly media plans allocating budget to scalable channels of acquisition and revenue.
  • Manage agency partners to ensure key business needs are being properly translated into digital activities and target KPI’s are being met (Conversion Rate, Click Thru Rate, Cost Per Acquisition, ROI).
  • Leverage key insights and analysis to develop consistent reporting views.
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize digital media and prepare recommendations.
  • Implement optimization plans at bidding, keyword, placement, publisher, device, geographic, demographic, and other levels.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders including copywriters, product marketers, editorial, and web teams to deploy marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of testing methodology specifically a/b testing and landing page optimization.

So, Here’s What We ARE Looking For…

The following is pretty direct and non-negotiable. Our Facebook Media Buyer requires these all equally important:

  • Daily Campaign Updates – Our business thrives from good media buying. You should have experience drafting, testing, and deploying new ads to deliver high engagement, click rates, and revenue results. These ads are a high impact on our business and we need ownership of performance
  • Great with Ad Creatives – Having a good understanding of what creatives work best for which placement is a must. You should have good competitor analysis skills to keep an eye on what ads are doing well in our industry. Being able to edit or create ad creatives on the spot if needed is a skill every media buyer should have in their back pocket.
  • Data Reporting – This is an absolute must in this position. You need to be very comfortable using spreadsheets to analyze marketing performance such as ad spend, CPMs. clicks, and conversions. Our tomorrow’s marketing should be dependent on yesterday’s statistics. Can you articulate results and report them to leaders and marketing stakeholders? If so this job is for you.
  • Direct Marketing Funnel Experience – Our campaign funnels provide quick indications of success or failure. Having experience with marketing funnels will allow you to quickly test and provide recommendations on strategies to improve your ad performance.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – We’ll be direct, our marketing team doesn’t believe in feelings and emotions for decisions. We look at the data and only the data. You must be someone who gets a high out of doing data analysis for your decisions. You know your average Cost Per Registration and Click-through rates like the back of your hands.

A successful person in this role will always strive to be ahead of Facebook updates, changes in algorithms, and all outside factors that may impact the delicate ecosystem of Facebook advertising. They will have their finger on the pulse of one of the fastest-changing markets on the planet – programmatic media buying.

It’s important for candidates to know that this is a challenging position with many outside factors constantly changing and often working against your best efforts. You have to be highly competitive, enjoy figuring things out on your own, and have the type of personality that’s relentless when faced with a challenge.

But when successful, you will never have another job that’s as much fun as this one. You’ll wake up every day hungry to see how your campaigns performed overnight and go to bed thinking about how to tweak your audiences to acquire more customers and spend more money.

Role Requirements: 

  • 1+ years of digital media experience with a keen focus on media buying, PPC, SEO, content marketing, and conversion rate optimization
  • General understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem.
  • The ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently is a must!
  • Must have outstanding communication skills and be willing to strategically collaborate across publisher partners
  • Comfortable analyzing and making decisions based on campaign performance data.
  • Expertise in creating and executing key reports and activities out of multiple data tables
  • Knowledge of best-in-class analytic systems (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Google Adwords, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and use sound judgment
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities
