Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Foundation Trust Services

We are looking for a Senior level Site Reliability Engineer who is passionate about security to join our team and help us continue to expand the trust and identity solutions we provide to our customers – both internal and external. This role will help implement reliable security and identity solutions to support Fastly users and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Manage our distributed PKI infrastructure focusing on reliability, security, and stability
• Assist with implementation and maintenance/operations of secrets management systems that meet the needs of our growing business and customer base
• Work closely with security and compliance to ensure solutions meet requirements, have proper visibility and oversight, and implement enhancements
• Build automation that reduces manual interaction and promotes continuous improvement
• Contribute to future expansion of trust services at Fastly

Work Hours

• This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Basic Qualifications

• You have a minimum of 4 years of experience building and scaling systems in a variety of environments such as public cloud (AWS, GCP) or private data centers
• A programming background with development and code reviews in languages like Go as well as other general purpose languages such as bash, Python, etc is required.
• A desire to learn and grow while working on new things and taking on challenges
• Excellent Linux & networking troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong security focus – think security first when building solutions
• You have at least 3 years of experience with automation/tooling including use of things like Vault, Terraform, Docker, Chef, Consul etc.
• Comfortable working in highly regulated environments and working with auditors
• Capable technical documentation skills and the ability to communicate concepts at both a high and low level to a variety of audiences from upper management to peers.
