We’re looking for a passionate Math Content Development Assistant (CDA) with a tenacity towards surprising our students with an awesome learning experience to join our academic team. We believe learning science and math courses shouldn’t be as hard as it’s made out to be, and we’re on a mission to provide students with the best learning experience out there. As a Math CDA, you’ll be working directly towards developing highly engaging and relevant content for Pearson+ Channels, a new platform with the potential to help millions of students around the world

Summary:Β Work as β€œco-pilot” to our Course Instructors to build excellent content

Responsibilities:

  • Research Learning Objectives & problem types across textbooks to help build our curriculum, plan how we should group and sequence them into videos and topics
  • Research + Brainstorm the best explanations to teach tough academic concepts
  • Write problems to be used as examples & practice in our lessons
  • Assist + Manage others in building solutions & problem sets, answering questions, publishing
  • Assist in reviewing videos against our Academic Checklist & Principles

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Has earned (or will by May 2022) a B.A./B.S. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or other similar degree
  • Excelled at problem-solving classes generally, and Physics 1+2 and Calculus 1+2 specifically.
  • Has experience helping others in problem-solving classes (private tutor, Teacher/Lab Assistant, Peer-Led Team Leader or similar, helping friends for free, etc)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in a teamwork environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Is passionate about science, learning, and helping others learn
  • Has significant experience with tutoring and/or building lessons/academic content
  • Is a self-driven, organized, meticulous, analytical, efficient, and dependable team player

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary is between $50,000
