Quartzy is seeking a People Operations Manager who will join as a key member of the People team. This role will serve as a main point of contact to both leaders and employees across the company pertaining to a variety of HR related inquiries, processes and systems.
Quartzy is a 100% distributed team so this role can be done anywhere in the US.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as main point of contact for day-to-day employee and manager questions
  • Manage and optimize people systems, processes and policies; identify areas to automate and leverage technology to scale
  • Communicate people policy and procedure updates to employees and managers
  • Maintain benefits strategy; implement, manage, and administer benefits program
  • Own and maintain employee data across various technology systems, making system changes and completing frequent audits to ensure information accuracy
  • Manage employee off-boarding process
  • Administer our ongoing performance management and employee engagement cycles
  • Build and maintain employee Total Reward Statements
  • Manage US immigration cases for current and prospective employees
  • Manage international employee people experience via
  • Ensure company consistently adheres to all city, state, federal, and country regulatory requirements related to employment and hiring practices across multiple locations
  • Own HR compliance and required reporting on everything from EEO-1 filings, 5550s, OSHA, Wage and Hour laws, etc.
  • Maintain a calendar of events and times for recurring people initiatives (audits, performance management, merit, bonus, open enrollment, etc.)
  • Prepare and edit HR documents including the employee handbook and policies
  • Manage, investigate and resolve employee relations issues, in consultation with the VP of People
  • Provide generalist support to assist with new programs and projects, as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of past HR experience in a startup environment
  • Experience managing people operations in a multi-state organization; fully remote experience is a plus
  • Experience managing a diverse group of team members including exempt, non-exempt, and  contractors
  • Tech savvy with Google Suite, Zoom, and Slack
  • Experience administering HRIS, talent and equity management systems; experience with Rippling, CultureAmp or Carta a plus
  • Experience with US benefits administration, leave of absence management, and immigration
  • Familiarity with human capital legislation such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA and relevant state legislation
  • High level of attention to detail and quality of work product
  • SHRM, PHR certification or equivalent experience (+2 years) required

Quartzy takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range for this position represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary possibilities for this position based on all US locations. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.  Salary is just one component of our total rewards package. The salary ranges may be modified in the future.
Salary range: USD $95,000 – USD $160,000
All regular full-time employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program, excluding sales who are eligible for performance based variable sales incentives. Additionally, full time employees receive medical, dental and vision coverage with generous premium contributions for both employees and their families, the option of a Health Savings Account with employer match, company paid disability and life insurance with opportunity to add additional coverage for you and your family.
