Senior Data Science Manager – Buyer Trust

On the Buyer Trust team, we believe that buyers want to be able to trust independent merchants. Shop Promise helps merchants build this trust by showing potential buyers a guaranteed and branded delivery estimate across the buyer journey. Now that Shop Promise has been launched, we are looking for a strong leader to take the Buyer Trust Data Science team to the next phase in their journey. You’re joining a team in the early stages of building a product that has the potential to be transformational for merchants across the globe.

You will be:

• Leading a team of super-talented data scientists
• Guiding the short-term and long-term data science strategy for the Buyer Trust team
• Providing technical leadership to our data science team as they analyze data, run experiments, create models, and build data products
• Joining a cross-discipline product leadership team and contributing to the strategic decisions that guide the team’s roadmap
• In partnership with product managers, engineers, and designers, building product experiences that enable Shop Promise to scale across our merchant base

You Need To Have:

• Acted as a thought leader at the product leadership level – you are able to drive the roadmap and are comfortable and confident working with, and making strong recommendations to a product leader. You get to the root of problems faced by merchants to create data solutions and products to solve these challenges
• A demonstrated track record of attracting top data science/analytics talent, developing high-performing, high-trust teams, and a knack for keeping top talent happy, challenged, and striving for impact
• Exceptional problem solving and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

It would be great if you have previous experience with:

• Applying machine learning algorithms in a large-scale production setting
• Familiarity with the Logistics industry
