We need an experienced Senior-level Product Designer to help guide a thoughtful evolution of the Acuity product experience. We are looking for a background in UX methodologies, payment or admin systems, web & mobile-first interaction design and design-systems. You will work with product managers, engineers, user research, content strategy, analytics and product marketing, creating the full user journey of our scheduling experiences, including how our new brand guidelines improves the end-to-end product experience.

You will report to the Product Design Director of Acuity Scheduling. We are headquartered in New York City, have satellite offices around the country, and embrace fully remote teammates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary:Β You willΒ improveΒ the current admin experience of Acuity Scheduling. You will also work with other designers to develop unified, new concepts that push the entire experience forward.Β 

  • Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem
  • Create thoughtful, elegant solutions to complex problems, and present those solutions clearly
  • Improve upon existing design paradigms, while simultaneously pushing to evolve our design language and systems by collaborating with our Design Systems team.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams from concept through delivery and beyond and maintain clear team understanding around goals and priorities
  • Contribute to OKRs, product experience strategy by working with partners, working with CustOps, users and looking at data in equal measure, to help define key metrics to track success and business impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Brand, UXR and UXCS to develop and deliver product consistency that is on-brand, such as information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes that tell a cohesive story of opportunities for improvement.
  • Open to mentor junior designers through pairing and ongoing relationship development across product design and be coached by more senior designers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Relevant experience with sketching, wireframes, visual design, design systems and prototyping for product experiences with a mobile-first mindset
  • Demonstrate clear design development, application of service design and information architecture, and experience facilitating a variety of UX methodologies including research, prototype testing, and iteration.
  • Demonstrate excellent story-telling in your portfolio presentation with the ability to tailor your context to different audiences by showing breadth and depth of thought.
  • POV and passion for products you design and the impact they have in the world
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browsers, and mobile devices

You will present a portfolio of 2-3 case studies that highlight your best product and UX design work. You should outline the problem and solution and speak to the impact of your design decisions on the user experience and the business needs, as well as how outcomes were measured.

Cash Compensation Range: $131,000 – $231,500 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
