Who We Need:

Underwriting Preparation Coordinator duties include the analysis of the incoming loan submission and performing essential document verification, parsing, and placing of documents in the correct location. This team member will be responsible for assisting in the collection and verification of borrower mortgage loan documents and the corresponding data entry into the system of record for loan files. This role is essential in making sure we have a quality submission to our underwriting partners and that we are making decisions based on a properly formatted application and corresponding documentation. Other duties may include performing additional steps to prop up the third-party processing efforts. These duties are not client-facing but may also interact with internal colleagues.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand how the Underwriting Prep Coordinator role fits into the larger organizational context and ensure the smooth handoff of work (incoming and outgoing)
  • Analyze borrower submitted documents in the system of record or drop box, evaluate whether the document corresponds to the condition required and ensure its placement within appropriate system location
  • Execute workflow steps in a timely fashion and participate in keeping this workflow Queue within quoted SLA’s
  • Meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Effectively manage multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Develop effective professional partnerships with all colleagues
  • Process documents in an accurate and timely manner to ensure proper audit procedures are followed

What You Need:

  • 6+ months experience as a TSSI required 6+ months experience as a TSS II required in good standing or 1+ Years Mortgage Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with mortgage process and mortgage documents
  • Ability to adapt well to change
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Demonstrate responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning; must be a fast paced individual
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to take direction and comprehend training
  • Ability to work closely within a team structure
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Octane software system a plus
