We are seeking a Content Strategist who wants to help smart people and worthy brands augment their value into the world. You will be joining a New York, NY based copywriter and content agency – one that is gaining a name among global brands big and small, for consistent high-quality work. If you like to deliver insightful articles, crisp case studies, differentiating blog posts, punchy website copy, powerful e-books, and engaging yet substantive SEO writing, this is the role for you.

Content Strategist Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and/or revise content and copy across topics ranging from ad tech to financial markets to talent recruiting—sometimes in the same afternoon.
  • Masterfully craft, adjust, edit, and refine copy across many content types, including web copy, blog posts, video scripts, etc.
  • Oversee the work of writers on your client teams. Interpret objectives, guiding writers on appropriate strategies and approaches.
  • Restructure, add nuance, adjust voice, improve strategic articulation, and make any/all other necessary changes to your teams’ collective work, producing measurably effective copy and content for clients.
  • Run exploratories with clients and SMEs to discover brand and topic insights, enabling your teams to meet prescribed objectives.
  • Be accountable for several accounts and projects, overseeing production (writing/editing), project management, and client relations.
  • Manage the writers on your team efficiently and empathetically, coaching and mentoring to improve skills and optimize approaches and profitability.
  • Drive new business by upselling and cross selling to smaller clients—and nurturing opportunities for larger ones (with a quick handoff to sales).

Content Strategist Qualifications:

  • Nimble and formidable writing skills across voices, formats, and topics. Key industries include technology, finance, education, and healthcare.
  • The ability to recognize when work is on-point and on-strategy (for clients)—and when it’s not, including for sophisticated audiences and complex/technical industries.
  • Experience and comfort with project management and leading solid or dotted-line writing teams.
  • 5+ years of copywriting or content experience (a relevant advanced degree is a plus, but not required).
  • Client savvy. Ease and confidence in client interactions at all levels.
  • Jack-of-all-trades. You comfortably wear many hats, from client-facing roles to writing and editing—and you look great in all of them.
