We are seeking a People Operations Generalist to join our growing People and Talent team. In this role you will have the pleasure of keeping things moving on a daily basis within People Operations including but not limited to: Benefits administration, HRIS management, preboarding, onboarding, offboarding, policies/compliance, and project support in all people related programs and initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the employee lifecycle including pre-boarding/on-boarding processes, off-boarding, and being a primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Make enhancements and recommendations as we grow to ensure the best experience for all.
  • Provide administrative and project support in all things perks, benefits, health & wellness, performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Manage and oversee the summer intern program creating a valuable learning experience including exposure to all areas of the business
  • Help plan, support and identify DEI initiatives and assist in analytics to track progress
  • Assist in putting on trainings that would be beneficial to Hatch employees
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to generate offer letters and ensure new hire paperwork is completed prior to start
  • Partner with the payroll team as needed to assist with employee inquiries
  • Own the HRIS system as a primary administrator including but not limited to making employee changes, setting up workflows to maximize efficiency in our work, partner with our benefits brokers to run a successful open enrollment and new hire benefit sign up process, etc.
  • Manage and track compliance related programs and trainings such as sexual harassment
  • Manage and administer Worker’s Compensation and Leaves of Absences
  • Assist with reviewing/updating the Employee Handbook to reflect current workplace policies and procedures
  • Manage our intranet, keeping it relevant with the most up to date company information
  • Procure an office location to accommodate those interested in a hybrid work set up and help manage related services
  • Assist with visa sponsorship
  • Other HR-related duties as assigned

Who You Are:

  • An enthusiastic people person with 3-5 years of HR experience
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal HR regulations
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Desire to work in an organization that moves quickly
  • A desire to help others and enjoys working collaboratively
  • Understands the importance of trust and confidentiality with the HR function
  • Comfortable working within the google suite of tools, slack, and spreadsheet
