We are in the process of building the new generation of our product suite with a much more scalable architecture and state of the art web technologies.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a smart and talented Product Manager to join our growing team, with experience in enterprise software, for a full time, permanent role based in Montreal (or remote in the same time zone).

The product manager is charged with being an advocate of the customer โ€” achieving both customer and market success. They are responsible for guiding the success of a product and leading a cross-functional team that is responsible for defining the future direction of the Assima product lines and ultimately deilvering value to Assima’s end clients.

The Product Manager is also responsible to communicate externally as well as internally the roadmap, participate in the overall elaboration of the product roadmap and training. This includes participation throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, working closely with Product owners and engineering, to deliver winning products and up-to-date documentation. The product manager serves as the central hub within the company for critical information about the products, their roadmaps, market and competitors, and interaction with customers and prospects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To set the long-term vision and strategy for the companyโ€™s products via a product roadmap
  • To communicate this strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders who include customers, sales, marketing, engineering, consultants and company executives
  • To ensure the production of documentation about the product, including release notes, training documentation and marketing materials (product marketing)
  • To attend marketing events as a representative of Assima and as an appraiser of current market trends in the EdTech domain

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • To participate in marketing activities through research and strategic planning
  • To manage product policies (SLA, technical validation parameters, licensing process, update/development process)
  • To ensure that Assima teams are well-trained on our products and can deliver quality training to clients (ideally, this would be a library of eLearning content on our tools)

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in enterprise software preferably SaaS.
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in a fast growing or rapidly changing organization
  • Strong communication skills. English mandatory, French strongly preferred
  • Highly motivated and autonomous person with a can do attitude

Skills Required:

  • Be transparent about your prioritization and roadmap process
  • Be able to say โ€œnoโ€ but explain why in terms that stakeholders understand
  • Prioritize while balancing the needs of customers and stakeholders
  • Bring evidence-based decision-making to your communication
