Here at Pex, we’re on a mission to democratize digital rights for everyone. We are the team behind the Attribution Engine, a licensing infrastructure for the Internet enabling fair compensation and increased access to content. With its advanced identification technology, Attribution Engine ensures compliance and safety for platforms, gives rightsholders total control of their content, increases access and confidence for creators, helps law enforcement prevent toxic content, and provides brand safety for advertisers.

As a Mid-level DevOps Engineer, you will help us to introduce and test new technologies, tools, and systems that enable fast and safe code deployment. You will also proactively monitor system health, respond to alerts and incidents, and eliminate their causes. Our scale is massive, so scalability and maintainability must always be top of mind.

Our infrastructure team is fully remote, globally distributed, honest & dependable, and is looking for an engineer with the same personality traits. The team is made up of talented engineers from various backgrounds and skill levels. At Pex, we value transparency and clear communication, and we strive to create an environment where all team members feel safe and supported to take initiative, experiment, learn from mistakes, and share opinions freely.

  • Help with CI/CD pipelines optimization, Kubernetes deployment, and making the application scalable
  • Cooperate with our R&D team on a day-to-day basis to help them achieve their goals
  • Support the infrastructure maturation and automation
  • Design and champion SRE best-practices
  • Do the occasional weekend on-call duties
  • Report to our APAC DevOps Manager

About You:

We have a lot of people who did not follow the traditional career path. We value people who are curious and collaborative and bring their unique perspectives to work each day. While we’re excited to learn what you can bring to the team, there are a few key things that are essential to success in this role. You:

  • Have experience with building scalable infrastructure
  • Are a skilled user of infrastructure provisioning tools like Helm, Flux, ARM and of automation tools like Ansible and Jenkins
  • Have hands-on experience with one of the major cloud services
  • Know Kubernetes
  • Are familiar with Agile and/or Kanban methodologies
  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Can work effectively in a fully remote and distributed team

Our Stack:

  • Microsoft Azure in Cloud, Azure DevOps for CI/CD
  • Kubernetes & Docker
  • Ansible and Jenkins

Perks and Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,000 – $75,000/year
  • Equity, with perks like a 10-year exercise window
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Day off on your birthday
  • 30 days of paid time off + 9 paid holidays
  • A fully remote working environment
  • A supportive culture that cares about both excellent work and work-life balance
