Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to support the Identity Management SSO Federation environment. This position works with customers to integrate internally and externally hosted applications with Ping Federate. Creates Federation objects, requests, installs digital signing certificates, and troubleshoots integration issues with application owners and suppliers. Creates documentation for Federation tasks and projects. Assists with Ping Access integrations and provides on-call support. Assists with backend server administration and support. Collaborates with organization’s SSO team members to resolve issues and satisfy customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with application customers to integrate end user applications with SAML 2.0/OAuth/OIDC Identity Federation software
  • Create objects and install digital signing certificates in Federation software application
  • Respond to application calls for assistance with user access and Federation integration issues
  • Provide support for the integration of applications to include web servers and application servers
  • Provide server support for SSO environment

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years work experience with SSO / Federation
  • 7+ years work experience with Ping Federate
  • Demonstrated ability working with SAML 2.0/OIDC Federation software in a Linux environment
  • Demonstrated ability supporting applications in a distributed, highly available, mission-critical environment
  • Demonstrated ability installing and configuring Ping Federate software
  • Demonstrated ability installing and configuring certificates on web servers and application servers
  • Ability to work in team-oriented environment where collaboration is encouraged and valued
  • Self-direction and independent problem-solving
  • Ability to combine data and knowledge from various sources to determine the proper approach for planning and execution
  • Knowledge of common network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTPS, VPN
  • Knowledge of Unix / Linux commands
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common programming practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of network topology design, security, performance, and fault tolerant architecture experience is strongly preferred

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Ping Access software
  • Experience with Linux System Administration
  • Experience with Java programming and Linux scripting
  • Background working with Identity Management systems
  • Background in IT Security
