Volt is seeking a Customer Support Technician 1 (Remote) for an American luxury department store chain. Founded in 1901, it originated as a shoe store and evolved into a full-line high fashion retailer with departments for clothing, footwear, handbags, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, and fragrances.

Customer Support Technicians support customers across multiple channels, with a focus on providing excellent customer experience. Technicians have a wide range of responsibilities ranging from in store support, Service Desk support and backend monitoring of systems and applications, just to name a few.

After training candidates will be working BOTH weekend days. Start time will be between 10AM to 12 Noon PST for weekends. This is required to work both days and not optional.

A day in the life…

  • Understands and displays basic troubleshooting concepts and processes and operating system fundamentals
  • Protects our Brand and competitive advantage by ensuring that customer /other protected data and intellectual property is protected and never exposed to external breach or unauthorized access
  • Understands importance of adhering to security standards and the potential impacts to the Nordstrom brand due to security breach
  • Communicates, to the appropriate audiences, clearly and concisely, in written and oral formats about decisions, plans, and tasks in a timely manner
  • Identifies why a problem is occurring, analyze the appropriate data and create an effective plan for resolution.
  • Demonstrates the understanding of target SLA’s for specific area.
  • Adheres to scheduled work times
  • Communicating with manager when issues arise

You own this if you have…

  • 2+ year experience in a service management industry
  • 2+ year experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment
  • Strong Soft Skills: communication, listen to your caller, high emotional intelligence
  • Being able to take call after call
  • Being ok with taking lots of password calls and not get burned out

Technical Competencies

  • 1+ years with phone experience in a call center environment
  • 1+ years with writing tickets in Service Now
  • 1+ years familiar with troubleshooting Windows, Mac and other devices
  • 1+ years familiar with Active Directory Password Resets


  • Strong high speed internet connection, hard wired preferred
  • A quite workspace dedicated to just work
  • Flexible work schedule to adjust to business needs
