About the Role

Seeking an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to help us build and maintain functional systems that improve customer experience. Our technology stack is built in Python, FastAPI, Postgres RDS, Serverless, lambda, SQS, ElasticSearch, API Gateway. We containerize and deploy with ECS Fargate on AWS. You will be responsible for service delivery, reliability, scalability, monitoring, and helping define all of this as immutable infrastructure-as-code.

The impact you will have:

• Help define the future of and contribute directly to Ordermark’s cloud infrastructure
• Evangelize good coding and engineering best practices while uplifting fellow engineers
• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments

What you bring to the role:

• 3-5 years’ DevOps knowledge and expertise in multiple areas, including scripting, IaC, automation, configuration management
• Knowledge of Linux architecture, administration, troubleshooting, and production operations
• Relevant experience with data models and database querying
• Experience with Github Actions/CircleCI, HashiCorp tools, Terraform, and Bash scripting
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data stores, streaming infrastructure
• Having worked on the transition from Monolith to Microservice architecture
• Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)
• Expertise with AWS (e.g. IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling, Lambda)
