Job Summary:ย Blavity, Inc. is looking for an innovative Manager, Branded Content to lead editorial and social content strategies, as well as production, for its branded campaigns. As a key member of the Branded Campaign Production team, the Manager, Branded Content will oversee the day-to-day development of branded editorials and social content across each of Blavity, Inc.โ€™s 5 brands. This role will work closely with the Director, Branded Campaign Production to manage the content development process. The ideal candidate has a love for storytelling, is more than likely a writer themselves,ย  and has a deep understanding of how to communicate and engage with various audiences across all social media platforms. Additionally, they have an affinity for creative ideation and actively contribute to the development of campaign ideas and concept development.

This role will report directly to the Director, Branded Campaign Production.


  • Oversee the day-to-day production process of editorial and social content, ensuring that content is on brand and aligns with the campaign strategy
  • Serve as a key member of the Branded Content team; lead, contribute to, and craft the editorial strategy for branded campaigns
  • Support the creative production team with developing concept decks and managing campaign content deliverables
  • Manage the distribution of sponsored content across all channels including editorial, social, and content hubs, ensuring that all branded content is flighted timely and cleanly across relevant digital channels
  • Manage and develop writers and content marketers
  • Ensure that all branded social content is in line with social media best practices
  • Provide copywriting support for project-specific deliverables
  • Prepare and submit weekly campaign status emails to all relevant teams/stakeholders
  • Oversee the ongoing analysis and optimization of branded editorial and social performance


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years working as a Managing Editor, in Advertising or in another related field
  • Technologies: Proficiency in building decks via Powerpoint and/or Google Slides
  • Competencies/Skills:
  • Experience writing for media publications and developing social media content & strategies
  • Strong leadership skills; possesses the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external vendors
  • Demonstrated experience as a skilled and conscientious editor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and budgeting skills
  • Ability to reinvent/create something new
  • High level of curiosity and interest in understanding Blavity, Inc.’s audience and the digital products it promotes
  • A strong creative vision with an understanding of Blavity, Inc.โ€™s business objectives

Details:ย This is a Full-Time, Remote position.ย ย Candidates must be available to work in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone.
