If you’ve got a love of writing, a nose for a good story and a drive to inspire an audience of millions then you could be a perfect fit for our Senior Content Editor role.

We’re looking for an experienced writer and editor to join our Marketing team at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a global higher education data and services company with a vision to empower a billion future learners.

Working within our Content team, you will be responsible for developing and managing our network of freelance contributors and student ambassadors, sourcing articles that align with our editorial strategy for and You’ll take the lead on developing content for our audience of prospective MBA students, building relationships with the world’s best business schools and interviewing faculty, alumni and students from around the world.

Throughout your work, you’ll be expected to utilise internal performance data to identify topics and stories that are aligned with our audience’s interests, ensuring that we help prospective students from around the world to find their dream university and degree programme.

You’ll be a trusted ambassador for our brand voice and style guide, raising the quality of our written output, incorporating SEO into all your work and ensuring consistency across every article we publish.

Collaborating between key teams will be essential, including the wider content team, design team, product team, social media team, acquisitions & engagements team, PR, data teams and more.

As a key leader of the Content team, this role is responsible to line manage the Content Writer and will report into the Senior Editorial Lead.

This role is open to remote working, based in the UK

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Superb journalistic instincts for what makes a compelling story and how to structure content for maximum effectiveness, along with experience of writing content for a student audience, ideally global.
  • Confident interviewer, able to initiate and develop relationships with people from a range of backgrounds.
  • Consistent and diligent editor, able to ensure consistent application of brand voice and house style across all published articles.
  • Ability to gather data and insights from a variety of sources and distil them into clear, engaging content.
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and be able to incorporate SEO strategy into content development.
  • Knowledge of topics related to MBA/business education would be desirable, but is not essential.
