Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a talented Sales Communications Manager for a client of ours. This Sales Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales communication and engagement programs that promote sales readiness and effectiveness for one or more of the sales teams. In this position one will work with stakeholders across many parts of the business to scope and deliver against relevant and impactful communication and engagement strategies that drive awareness and education with salesforce around operational and go-to-market changes, as well as sales events. This individual must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively at all levels within the organization. Additionally, the ability to effectively lead and influence is critical given that this position will contribute as part of a matrix environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and partner with Auto Sales and Sales Business Office leaders and team members to build and execute holistic, sales communications and engagement plans – inclusive of messaging/calls to action, channels/tactics, and impact/success measures – in support of prioritized operational and go-to-market initiatives and sales events/meetings for the sales teams that one will serve
  • Consult with stakeholders to assess communication and engagement needs – and then partner to co-develop approaches that ensure essential operational and go-to-market information is cascaded to sales audiences via preferred – and appropriate – channels
  • Support the development and adoption of consistent communication and engagement channels, actively managing reporting, and metrics on impact and reach
  • Manage to the development and maintenance of communications and engagement editorial and collision calendar(s) and playbooks
  • Author communications including but not limited to sales leadership communications, newsletter articles, website content, emails, and meetings/events to drive awareness, education, engagement, and morale
  • Develop and manage to work plans for major communication and engagement deliverables – ensuring smooth and on-time execution
  • Develop and implement tactics for soliciting feedback from Sales team members to inform communication and engagement approaches and priorities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong expertise in copywriting and editing
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Experience with EmailOpen (or similar marketing/communications platform)
  • Previous experience with the shaping and execution of leadership town halls, all hands, etc
  • BS/BA in communications or relevant field
  • MBA or MA in communications or relevant field
  • Experience with photo and video-editing software
  • Experience in web design and content production
  • Excellent team player and ability to effectively collaborate with others
  • Track record of working well in small, large, and highly matrixed group environments
  • Capability to facilitate effectively
  • Ability to explain complex ideas and processes simply (verbally and written)
  • Strong willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Track record of successfully coaching and guiding others during high pressure, highly ambiguous situations
  • Must be adept at quickly assessing and changing plans/priorities, and working simultaneously on numerous projects
  • Solid organizational skills including basic project management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
  • Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
