We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join our engineering team and become a crucial guardian of Prezi, working tirelessly to fortify our systems and protect against potential threats.
In this role, you will embrace the opportunity to:
- Discover, design, and develop cutting-edge internal tooling that supports the work of the security team, reduces risks, and empowers your colleagues to excel in their security practices.
- Be the last line of defence for Prezi, responding to alerts, investigating potential incidents, and fearlessly safeguarding our systems and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive security assessments as part of the release lifecycle, ensuring vulnerabilities are promptly identified and resolved.
- Stay at the forefront of cybersecurity trends and developments, continually expanding your knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
- Mentor and educate your colleagues, sharing your expertise and helping them enhance their understanding of security practices.
- Utilise your operational experience with AWS and Kubernetes to ensure a robust and secure environment for Prezi’s operations.
- Conduct security analysis across Prezi’s infrastructure and applications, employing your knowledge of intrusion detection/protection systems and incident response to identify and mitigate risks.
- Foster a security-focused mindset within the organisation, raising awareness of security issues and advocating for best practices.
- Leverage your troubleshooting experience in distributed environments to address complex security challenges and find innovative solutions.
To excel in this role, we seek individuals who possess:
- Experience in incident handling and forensics, coupled with a solid understanding of cloud-native environments and *NIX systems.
- Strong knowledge of web protocols and a deep understanding of infrastructure and application security principles.
- Some exposure to red team tooling and proficiency in securing web applications, cloud environments, and containerised workloads.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration and the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Operational experience with AWS and familiarity with Kubernetes, enabling you to navigate and secure these environments.
