Day-to-day:

• Collaborate with other departments to assess the needs of each production and help brainstorm project concepts

• Develop shot lists as needed

• Work within budgets and time constraints to ensure all aspects of production run smoothly while looking and sounding as good as possible

• Manage location bookings, arrange for necessary permissions and/or permits, develop relationships with studios, and build a catalog of commonly used locations for future projects

• Negotiate costs and book other resources, including audio-visual equipment and suppliers, needed for each production

• Schedule pre-shoot tech rehearsals to ensure all elements are set for optimal quality at shoot time

• Supervise crews and freelance personnel as assigned

• Strategize creative solutions to production challenges to ensure vision and schedules are met

• Develop an approval workflow and ensure that the required work is reviewed by all relevant parties

• Act in an ethical and professional manner at all times, adhering to the PETA Foundation’s code of conduct policies

• Attend technical skill-building and professional development workshops on a regular basis

• Stay current with all relevant industry trends as they apply to the overall job responsibilities

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• You must be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccination in order to be considered

• Experience negotiating terms and rates with vendors, suppliers, and personnel

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with personnel at all levels, from internal staff to outside production staff and vendors

• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, have strong organization skills, and effectively and be able to troubleshoot production issues that may arise with diplomacy and professionalism
