Manage Philips’ Sleep & Respiratory Care products on Retail Health Channels (CVS, Walgreen, Walmart Health etc.).ย  The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for attaining sales and market share targets thru collaboration with the Retail Health Accounts and Philips Sales Planning and Marketing Teams.ย  The NSM will drive to create the strategic vision as well as manage the tactical implementation, in all facets, with regards to Retail Health. This includes, but is not limited to, Joint Business Planning, Line Reviews, Promotional Execution, Financial Management, Business Analysis, Forecasting, Trade Spend Management and Strategic Relationship Building.

The ideal candidate has sales experience within the Consumer Health Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry; strategic planning, portfolio management, analytics, trade budget management, and building relationships.

You are responsible for

  • Deliver sales growth targets for Philips Sleep& Respiratory Care Products
  • Build customer relationships
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies in conjunction with the customers priorities and activation tools utilizing customer and company resources
  • Develop annual account plans based on short, mid and long range presented by the appropriate brand groups.
  • Use data & information systems to monitor retail sales, market share, and metrics important to the customer to drive to targets and ensure health of the business for Philips and Retail Health Partners
  • Translates the business plan of the sales group into a strategic 2-3 year plan in which targets, strategy and actions are set to meet the short- and long term goals.
  • Prepare sales reporting analyzing marketplace trends, retail sales, individual account trends and competitive activity.
  • Lead weekly business calls with internal cross functional teams and Retail Health Accounts
  • Negotiates and manages trade funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze all promotions considering promotional funding to maximize return on investment
  • Ensure accurate forecasting on core product, proactive inventory and assortment management, with close collaboration with Demand Planning, Customer Service and Supply Chain
  • Analyze/monitor business trends related to their customers and react to changes in their markets
  • Utilize industry knowledge to position company programs, products and solutions to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Market foresight and understanding of the Retail Health landscape and industry, teaming, Learning Agility and Strong Proactive Communication Skills both internally and externally

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • 8+ years of Account Management experience
  • Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands
  • History of negotiating complex business deals that provide value to all parties
  • Experience selling to CVS, Walgreens, etc. preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and adapt to change quickly
  • Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, internal and with the account
  • History of setting and delivering a growth agenda
  • Interpersonal savvy: an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Fluent in Excel โ€“ must have accurate reporting measures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
  • Experience developing and managing trade budgets
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills
