As a ServiceNow Developer, you are an integral team member responsible for the design and development of core ServiceNow capabilities for in accordance with client requirements. Teams work with various clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements, current architecture, and approach needed for success of the engagement. Developers provide tool and capability recommendations based on your experience and research of the current product functionality.
Responsible for supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise Service Management solutions in ServiceNow
Following industry standards, the successful candidate will collaborate with the existing internal ServiceNow team (and customers) on activities and development projects
Development efforts will include (but are not limited to) custom portal pages, modules, API and software integrations, customized web pages, User interface policies, scripts, etc
The ServiceNow Developer will participate in administration of ServiceNow to include upgrades, updates, etc. as needed
Maintains technical expertise relevant industry standards and best practices in ServiceNow
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Develops creative technical solutions to complex problems
Work is performed based on documented Project Implementation Plans
Exercises judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Applies technical expertise and knowledge of other related disciplines
What You Will Need
Domain expertise in at least one ServiceNow product (ITSM, ITBM, GRC, CRM)
4+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and a development method.
3+ years of experience with web hosted applications, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular and one or more of the following back-end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion integrations.
Designing and implementing IT and Non-IT related process workflows, procedures and technical standards.
Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including client requirement analysis and system design.
Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
BA or BS degree

Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
US Citizenship is contractually required for this position
The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location. Selected candidate must be local and able to work from one of the following offices: Tysons, VA (HQ); Washington DC as needed. Client meetings may be required in-person.
This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of work per week.
Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
