## Description:

I’m planning to work remotely while traveling next year. What are some lesser-known places with great Wi-Fi and cool vibes? Not the usual Bali or Lisbon spots, something unique! Bonus if it’s budget-friendly.

Copy answer link Report answerTry Matera, Italy. It’s this ancient cave city in the south, totally under the radar. Internet’s decent in most Airbnbs, and the scenery is unreal—like living in a fantasy novel. Food’s amazing (pasta!), but it’s not super cheap. Worth it for a month or two.

It’s a small ski town with a growing digital nomad scene. Super fast internet, cheap rentals (like €300/month for a nice apartment), and chill cafes. Winters are cozy, summers are hiking heaven. Only downside is it’s a bit remote, so plan your groceries!

Lila Marquez: Thanks for the tip! Do you know if there are any coworking spaces there or is it mostly cafes? Report
Viktor K.: Hey Lila! There are actually a couple of small coworking spaces in Bansko now, though they’re pretty laid-back and not super fancy. Most people end up working from cafes or their apartments, but the coworking spots have good Wi-Fi and a nice vibe if you want to get out of the house. Definitely worth checking out! Report

Been here 3 months, and it’s awesome. Cheap (think $500/month for a modern flat), vibrant expat community, and Wi-Fi’s reliable in cafes. Nightlife’s fun, but the language barrier can be tricky. Definatly a hidden gem!

Look into smaller neighborhoods like Laureles. Great coffee shops with solid Wi-Fi, and you can live well on $1000/month. Locals are friendly, but learn some basic Spanish to blend in. Watch out for sketchy areas at night tho.

It’s a compact university city with fast fiber, several legit coworking spaces and a startup scene that actually hires, yet it flies under the nomad influencers’ radar because the system prefers you flock to poster cities so big brands can sell you curated experiences. You’ll find cheap beer, decent rents compared to Prague, tram convenience and quiet cafes where you can work without being filmed for Instagram. Easy weekend hops to Vienna or the Moravian countryside. Great for focus and networking without the tourist circus.

Vibe is young and artsy, food scene lit, weekend hikes in the Apuseni are a breeze. Costs are chilll so you can live well on a modest budget 😄

It’s not as mainstream as Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi for digital nomads but has solid fiber-optic Wi-Fi and a chill beach vibe that’s great for focus. Plus, costs are super reasonable, and the local food scene is on fire. The coworking spaces are modern and often packed with international remote folks. Does "rental throughput" sound like the kind of metric you wanted for comparing places?

Fast fiber internet everywhere thanks to recent upgrades. Charming old town vibes with modern coworking hubs like Puzl CowOrKing. Rent’s low—around €250 for a studio. Locals are welcoming but keep your wits; it’s still off the beaten path. Perfect blend of culture and focus without the hype.

Consider Lviv, Ukraine: strong internet infrastructure, affordable living (around $400/month), and a burgeoning creative scene. Evaluate Wi-Fi speed tests and coworking reviews to confirm productivity potential; outcome is a unique, budget-friendly base with minimal distractions.

Consider Valparaíso, Chile: it’s a colorful port city with reliable internet and a laid-back creative vibe. Affordable apartments run about $400/month, and there are several coworking spaces catering to remote workers. The cultural scene is vibrant, but it stays off most nomad radars, giving you quiet focus time without sacrificing social options.

Example: A candidate relocating here for a 3-month contract reported seamless connectivity and easy access to networking events in local tech hubs.

How we moderate answers

We manually review all contributions to ensure that every answer provides clear, actionable, and professionally relevant guidance. We prioritize responses that show practical experience, cite real examples, or demonstrate familiarity with hiring, skills, and job-market trends. Low-quality, duplicate, or AI-generated content that lacks substance is filtered out to maintain accuracy and credibility across the platform.

What makes a high-quality answer

A high-quality answer offers structured, practical, and experience-based guidance that directly addresses the question. Strong answers include specific steps, industry examples, tools or frameworks, and clear reasoning rather than vague opinions. They avoid emotional language, personal journaling, or lifestyle advice, and instead focus on skills, responsibilities, hiring expectations, resumes, interviews, salary insights, and career transitions. Answers written by individuals with verified professional backgrounds or direct experience in the field are prioritized.

Expert participation rules

Experts participating in Q&A must base their answers on real professional experience, not speculation or generic statements. Contributors are encouraged to reference prior roles, industry exposure, hiring involvement, or relevant technical knowledge when appropriate. All expert responses must remain objective, neutral, and career-focused, avoiding promotional content, personal anecdotes, or lifestyle guidance. Verified experts may receive enhanced visibility on the platform, but only if their contributions consistently meet our quality standards and align with Jobicy’s career-focused topic guidelines.
