Block out your calendar for specific work windows and stick to them like your job depends on it—because it does. Communicate clearly with your team or clients what you will and won’t handle during that time. If you don’t do this, expect constant interruptions that kill focus and increase stress. Instead of trying to finish everything at the last minute, I spread out tasks so I’m not overwhelmed right before the break. It makes me feel less guilty because I’m not rushing or sacrificing family time.
