## Description:

I’ve been thinking about how much control freelancers really have over their contract terms. Is it common or even feasible to negotiate clauses like payment schedules or deliverables? It seems like some clients might be set in their ways, but surely there must be room for discussion. I wonder what tips or approaches work best when trying to negotiate as a freelancer.

But I simply said, “Hey, can we tweak that payment timeline? I gotta keep the lights on.”
To my surprise, they shifted it to 30 days. Freelancers definitely can negotiate stuff like payment dates, scope, and revisions. It’s all about being upfront and explaining your side without sounding pushy. A little give-and-take goes a long way!
