What ended up working was just having a "culture potluck" day where people could bring food or stories from their holidays if they wanted, zero pressure. It's super chill and lets people share without making a fuss or feeling awkward. If someone wants to talk about their customs, great; if not, no harm done. It keeps it light and inclusive without making it feel like a giant festival every time.

Make it optional and brief, maybe during lunch breaks or casual meetings.this creates space for learning without turning celebrations into events everyone has to attend or contribute to.Over time, you could even automate reminders or create a shared calendar highlighting these stories so folks can tune in when they want. It’s low-key but builds appreciation naturally without overwhelming anyone’s workday.

Start by asking your team what they’d feel comfortable sharing to keep it respectful and fun for everyone.

Establish optional, low-key activities like sharing brief stories or holiday-related facts during breaks. Rotate cultural highlights in common areas to foster curiosity without obligation. Encourage participation through positive recognition rather than pressure. Create a safe space where respect and inclusivity guide all celebrations.

Kingston Grant: Do this: Ask team preferences, offer optional low-key activities, rotate cultural highlights, encourage with praise.

Sounds solid—no forced fun is key. Report
