Like, I had to get comfortable saying “I don’t know this yet” and then diving into whatever new tools or jargon popped up. It wasn’t just about picking up skills fast, but knowing which ones really mattered for the new job—sometimes soft skills like listening better or explaining things clearly made more difference than technical stuff I’d been stressing over before. Also, I found that having some sort of framework for organizing what I learned (even if basic notes or quick summaries) kept me from getting overwhelmed and helped show others how my old experience connected to the new role. Maybe that kind of mindset beats trying to master a ton of unrelated skills all at once?
