## Description:

Trying to figure out how to negotiate salary when I don’t have an official offer yet but want to avoid undervaluing myself. Every time I try, it feels like I get stonewalled or ignored.

Copy answer link Report answermention your market research first. Quote specific salary ranges from reliable sites. Drop hints about other interests or offers subtly. Ask what budget exists for the role. Use confident tone - no begging. Redirect if they stall: "What’s the typcal range here?" Keep it casual but firm; avoid ultimatums early on.

If they dodge twice, ask for the hiring timeline.
