# How do I handle ethics in AI policy jobs?

## Description:

I keep seeing AI policy and trust-safety roles that sound perfect on paper, but I feel way behind everyone applying to them. People around me seem like they already speak the language of philosophy, law, and tech fluently, and I’m just trying not to look clueless. How do I close the gap on the ethics side fast enough to apply for these jobs without sounding fake in interviews?

Copy answer link Report answerGap’s real, and the big mistake’s pretending you know more than you do - that gets exposed fast. Build 3-4 sharp examples on bias, privacy, and safety, then practice saying what you’d flag, what you’d ignore, and where your limits are. Huge W if you stay honest and specific - fake confidence tanks hard.

Interviews love clarity, judgment, and curiosity way more than fake philosophy cosplay.
