## Description:

my catering gigs are all over the place and people keep telling me food styling could be a real career but i have no clue what skills actually matter or how to get that first paid job

Styling work cares about texture, negative space, freshness, and not panicking when the sauce breaks 10 minutes before shoot time. First paid gigs usually came from tiny jobs for local brands or photographers who needed someone calm and cheap.
