# Should I follow up after a remote role goes silent?

Question details I completed a second interview for a distributed operations role last Tuesday, and the hiring manager said I would hear back by the end of this week. It is now Monday, and the job posting is still live, but I have not received an update. I sent a brief thank-you note after the interview, so I do not want to seem pushy. Should I send a follow-up now, and what should I ask without sounding like I am assuming a decision has been made?
