# Is a same-day interview decision a warning sign?

[Interviews](https://jobicy.com/question-category/interviews.md) Asked 31 Jul 2026 Active 2 Aug 2026 [Write an answer](#answer-form-container) [Log in to vote](https://jobicy.com/enter4715.php.md)

Question details After a final interview for a coordinator role, the hiring manager asked me to accept verbally before receiving a written offer and said they needed an answer that day. Is this normal urgency, or a sign I should ask more questions before proceeding?

Copy answer link Report answer If they won’t give you reasonable time to review the written terms, I’d treat the urgency as a concern. Same-day enthusiasm can be normal, but ask for the offer, start date, duties, pay, and reporting expectations in writing before agreeing. The main exception is a genuinely time-sensitive, clearly documented role.
