# How can I get hired remotely across three time zones?

[Remote Work](https://jobicy.com/question-category/remote-work.md) Asked 31 Jul 2026 Active 1 Aug 2026 [Write an answer](#answer-form-container) [Log in to vote](https://jobicy.com/enter4715.php.md)

Question details I have relevant experience, but remote employers keep rejecting me after learning that my working hours overlap only briefly with their teams. Should I focus on companies already hiring internationally, propose an async arrangement, or accept a local role first to build stronger evidence?

Copy answer link Report answer What sounds impressive is promising constant availability; what’s useful is proving which tasks can run independently. Target roles with documented handoffs, written decisions, and few urgent dependencies, then state: “I can cover X independently and join Y meetings.” A local role helps only if it builds that evidence. Main exception: on-call work.
