# Should I ask to redo a flawed case interview?

Question details During a timed case interview, the interviewer’s shared spreadsheet would not load for several minutes, so I had to estimate key figures and my recommendation was weaker than usual. Should I request a short redo, or let the interview stand and address it in my follow-up?

Copy answer link Report answer Send a brief follow-up today: note the spreadsheet delay, state that it affected the analysis, and ask whether a short redo is possible. Request one only if the missing figures materially changed your recommendation; otherwise, clarify the assumptions you used. Was the delay documented by the interviewer?

Copy answer link Report answer Request a redo only if the unavailable figures could reasonably have changed the recommendation, not merely improved the presentation. In your follow-up, state the technical issue, name the affected analysis, and offer a concise corrected view. Did the interviewer acknowledge the delay during the session?
