Instead, they asked me to meet a senior manager who was not part of the original process, without explaining the purpose. I am mildly concerned the role or their confidence in me has changed. Is this usually an approval step or a sign of hesitation? What should I ask the recruiter before the meeting? How should I prepare if the manager repeats earlier questions?
