I am a professional with 20 years of experience in a multinational company. After graduating from my MBA at INCAE and the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), I began my career at Kimberly Clark as product manager in Guatemala. Since then, I had a marvelous career reaching positions as Marketing Director for Central America and Caribbean (managing brands as HUGGIES, SCOTT and KLEENEX), Global Accounts Director for North Latin America (Negotiating with Walmart and Pricesmart) and leading countries as General Manager (Nicaragua and Panama).
During my tenure in this multinational company, I was able to get to know must countries in Latin America and travel to many US cities. Then, after 20 years of career, I was asked to move to another country during the COVID pandemic. I decided to decline as I did not want to move my family during the pandemic. A restructure plan was implemented where my position in Costa Rica disappeared and decided to be part of the plan being paid fully.
I decided then to form my own company (Expand Solutions), focusing in giving consulting and outsourcing services to small to medium size companies. For the past two years it has been a great experience, having able to work with family-owned companies in Central America. I had the opportunity to consult in strategic direction, creating a sales department from zero and restructuring a company for growth.
