As a Data Engineering Intern, I was responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines that incorporated cutting-edge technologies such as automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) and optical character recognition (OCR). One of my key projects involved developing an image pipeline that could process images of license plates captured by surveillance cameras in real-time, extract the license plate number using OCR, and store the data in a database for further analysis. To accomplish this, I designed and implemented an API that could handle requests from the surveillance cameras and return the extracted license plate number.
