Between 2012 and 2018, I worked as a Digital Project Manager and Digital Content Manager for two prominent media agencies in Africa. As a Digital Project Manager for Media24, I managed the launch and day-to-day operations (including copy editing, newsletters, and social media) of a medium-sized eCommerce platform (WordPress). In my next position as a Digital Content Manager, I managed two media websites (WordPress) for Africa’s largest satellite television network. This position required exceptional attention to detail, copywriting, proofreading, and editing.
In 2018, I started freelancing remotely. I focussed on helping SMEs and startups with content creation and positioning of their brands online through targeted marketing strategies and campaigns. Industry, competitor, and audience research were vital in my role. I tailored multi-channel content, including copy for blog posts, email marketing campaigns, newsletters, landing pages, paid online campaigns, and social media copy.
